Tracey has completed Reiki I and Reiki II training and has been increasingly using Reiki either on its own as a deeply restorative form of treatment or alongside acupuncture in complement to the energetic rebalancing taking place with this treatment.
Reiki is a profound yet subtle form of hands-on energetic healing. It works by means of a process in which the Reiki practitioner acts as a conduit for Reiki energy (spiritually guided life force energy) to bring balance, healing and vitality to the recipient. It works also by means of its own intelligence, ie. there is no need for the Reiki practitioner to hold particular intention for how the Reiki energy should flow in the body, other than that it be for the highest good of the recipient. In this way, the Reiki practitioner is very much in the role of a medium or channel through which the Reiki can flow.
People experience Reiki differently – for some the sensations felt may be very noticeable, for others not so much, but it is consistently reported by recipients to feel deeply relaxing – the state most conducive to healing and well-being.
Although Reiki works without need for guidance from the practitioner or recipient, it may also be used to assist in opening and unravelling energetic blockages resulting from habituated thought and behaviour patterns or trauma which have created a sense of stress or stuckness for an individual. When this is what is felt necessary for an individual a more focused approach can be brought to the Reiki treatment. This can create an intensification and magnification of Reiki to support particular issues or blocks.
