“She was incredibly helpful. I'm a sporty person and play squash and I had a back problem at the time. Tracey pretty much fixed it over six or seven sessions. I made improvements from the first session. I had acupuncture, massage and cupping and it’s 100 percent helped me recover from my injury. I’d go back whenever a problem arises.”

Chronic Neck & Shoulder Injury

Pain levels reduced significantly and she's sleeping well

The client presented with neck and shoulder pain and some limitation in movement caused by a gym injury several months earlier. At times the pain radiated from her neck into her head with some tingling into her shoulder. She was having difficulty sleeping comfortably and was needing to use a towel for neck support.

Tracey treated the client most weeks for two months using acupuncture, therapeutic massage with infrared heat lamp and at times Reiki for relaxation.

The Outcome

The client noticed a reduction in pain from the first treatment. After two treatments the client's sleep had improved and she was no longer needing to use a towel for support. She continued treatment for a total of eight treatments over a couple of months and was doing much better. Her pain levels had reduced significantly and she was sleeping well.

“I had a neck and shoulder injury from overdoing it at the gym. I’d tried physio but wasn’t seeing any improvement so I thought this was worth a try. It was the first time and I’ll admit, I was a little sceptical, but I’ve seen great improvement since. So I totally recommend Tracey. She’s very helpful.”

Cancer Support Treatment

Relief from the side effects of cancer treatments

Diagnosed with stage four melanoma and undergoing intensive targeted treatment, this client sought treatment for healing support. This included general relaxation and stress reduction.

Tracey began regular treatments mostly consisting of therapeutic massage, reiki and a little acupuncture. The regular treatments have continued for the two years following alongside the client's continued allopathic cancer treatments.

The Outcome

The client's experience of her intensive cancer treatments was made more tolerable with the use of Tracey's healing services. Easing body pain and providing comfort and support throughout the recovery journey. Two and a half years on from the client's initial treatment with Tracey and continued medical treatment her cancer is stable and not spreading.

“I have stage four melanoma and had read in a survivors story of someone who used Reiki for relaxation and to help deal with the side effects of cancer treatments. So I went looking for a local practitioner and found Tracey. I also had a tumour removed from my armpit so went to Tracey for acupuncture, massage, cupping and reiki.

I went every week for the first couple of years and I am thoroughly convinced her healing hands have been a part of my ability to be stable for the past three years since my diagnosis in 2018. Tracey has a fantastic bedside manner, so calm and professional. I go once a month now and it's hugely beneficial to me. I highly recommend Koru Healing for cancer support.”

Lower Back Sciatic Nerve Pain

Swift recovery with natural therapies

The client presented with lower back pain and tension from a pinched sciatic nerve. Restricting mobility and quality of life, the client had tried several different conventional treatments to little avail, before approaching Tracey for relief from the pain. The client received acupuncture, massage and cupping therapies from Tracey. Seeking complementary therapies earlier rather than later is key to swifter recovery from musculoskeletal issues, says Tracey.

The Outcome

Following two 45 minute sessions with Tracey, the client had improved to a point where she was pain-free, sleeping better, and resumed normal daily activities.

quotesArtboard 1 copy 2

“Really positive experience. I had sciatica and the pain was waking me through the night and I wasn’t able to do a lot of things because of it. I had a few treatments and she’s fixed it! It’s amazing. I would definitely use her again and I recommend her to others.”

Motorcycle Accident Injuries

ACC subsidised treatments aid lower leg healing

This client was referred to Tracey a year after being thrown from his motorcycle during a crash a year earlier. He'd had two surgeries, including rod insertion, to repair fractures to his tibia and fibula bones and a compound heel fracture. Although on the road to recovery, the client was experiencing scar tissue pain, muscle stiffness and limitation of movement, particularly in the early morning and evening.

Tracey began weekly treatments of acupuncture and therapeutic massage to his lower leg, ankle and foot with the aim of accelerating physical healing and releasing muscle tension. This continued every week for two months after improvements were noticeable early on.

The Outcome

Following the acupuncture treatments, the client's lower leg was experiencing less pain intensity. The heel had softened and the range of movement had improved. There was obviously still some way to go until full recovery given the extensive surgeries, but the client’s daily life was more bearable whilst he healed.

quotesArtboard 1 copy 2

“I’d had a substantial motor accident 12 months earlier which had left me with a lower leg injury. Physio wasn’t moving me forward so I was referred for acupuncture and massage with Tracey. Been just over two months and the experience is good and I would definitely recommend her.”

Painful Trigger Thumb

The client was soon back playing the piano

The client presented with stenosing tenosynovitis. A painful condition where digits catch or lock when you bend them. Also known as trigger finger (or thumb) the condition is commonly caused by inflammation from repetitive movement or overuse. The condition had become somewhat chronic and was affecting the client's daily activities. The client was wearing a splint during the day and was unable to engage in some activities she enjoyed including playing the piano.

Tracey began weekly acupuncture and therapeutic massage treatments, including the use of an infrared heat lamp. The client had 11 sessions in total and was committed to keeping every appointment as she noticed improvement from each one.

The Outcome

Each treatment was honed to the needs of the client and by the end of 12 weeks, the client's pain had diminished and mobility increased. During the course of treatment she was able to stop wearing the splint and gradually resume activities, including playing the piano. The client's most recent ultrasound had shown no residual sign of inflammation.

quotesArtboard 1 copy 2

“Tracey’s been really helpful in treating my trigger thumb. I’ve found her acupuncture alleviates my symptoms and if the treatments are a bit too strong for me, she immediately modifies it so it's not overstimulating. She’s really considerate and tunes your treatment to what’s best for your body. I'm very happy with her.”
